TYPE RATING COURSES:

A310 Initial Type Rating

Objective:
To train and qualify crew members on A/C type.
Minimum prerequisites:

English level
Valid ICAO level 4 or higher,
Fluency in English (able to write, read and communicate at an adequately understandable level in English language).

License
Valid ATPL or,
Valid CPL/IR and valid ATPL Theoretical Knowledge examination report.

Medical
Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate or Class 2 for PPL holders.

Rating
Valid Multi-Engine Instrument rating.

MCC requirement
Hold a Certificate of satisfactory completion of Multi-Crew Co-operation (MCC) or,
MCC course is to be combined to the type rating course to comply with JCAR-FCL 1.261 & 1.26 and AMC JCAR-FCL 1.261(d) and Appendix 1 to JCARC-FCL 1.261(d).
Applicants having:
Either a certificate of satisfactory completion of MCC in accordance with JCARFCL 2 and experience of more than (100) hours as a pilot of a multi-pilot helicopter, or
Experience of more than (500) hours as a pilot on multi-pilot helicopter, or
Experience of at least (500) hours as a pilot in multi-pilot operation in accordance with JCAROPS
on single pilot- airplanes JCAR-CS 23 multi-engine airplanes or equivalent, shall be  considered to meet the requirements of MCC.
Minimum flight experience
Total flight time on aero plane 70 hours as Pilot In Command (PIC).
Duration:
With MCC:
Theoretical Knowledge phase: 20 Working Days including (2 FBS sessions)
Flight Simulator Phase: 5 FBS+9 FFS
Without MCC:
Theoretical Knowledge phase: 16 Working Days including (2 FBS sessions).
Flight Simulator Phase: 5 FBS+ 9 FFS

A320 Family Initial Type Rating

Objective:
To train and qualify crew members on A/C type.
Minimum prerequisites:

English level
Valid ICAO level 4 or higher,
Fluency in English (able to write, read and communicate at an adequately understandable level in English language).

License
Valid ATPL or,
Valid CPL/IR and valid ATPL Theoretical Knowledge examination report.

Medical

B737-NG 600-900 Initial Type Rating

Objective:
To train and qualify crew members on A/C type.
Minimum prerequisites:

English level
• Valid ICAO level 4 or higher,
• Fluency in English (able to write, read and communicate at an adequately understandable level in English language).

License
• Valid ATPL or,
• Valid CPL/IR and valid ATPL Theoretical Knowledge examination report.

Embraer 170/190 Initial Type Rating

Objective:
To train and qualify crew members on A/C type.
Minimum prerequisites:

English level

Valid CPL/IR and valid ATPL Theoretical Knowledge examination report.

Type Rating Instructor (TRI)/ Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI)

Objective:
To provide the beginner instructors the foundation to understand and apply the fundamentals of instructing.
Minimum prerequisites:

Type Rating Instructor (TRI) prerequisites
Prior to undertaking the JATS Pilot Instructor Course, an applicant for the initial issue of a TRI Rating shall have:

1.  Valid JCAR-FCL ATPL License with Valid Type and Medical.
2.  Completed at least 1500 hours flight time as a pilot of multi-pilot aero planes;
3. Completed within the 12 months preceding the application at least 30 route sectors, to include take- offs and landings as pilot-in-command or co-pilot on the applicable aero plane type which instruction is being given, or a similar type as agreed by CARC, of which not more than 15 sectors may be completed in a flight simulator.
4.  One Session Right Hand Seat Qualification.

Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) prerequisites

Prior to undertaking the JATS Pilot Instructor Course, an applicant for the initial issue of an SFI Authorization shall have the followings:
(a) An applicant for a SFI (A) authorization shall:

(1) Hold or have held at least JCAR-FCL CPL/IR License issued by CARC.
(2) Have completed the simulator content of the applicable type rating course which instruction is being given at an approved FTO or TRTO.
(3) Have at least (1500) hours flying experience as pilot on multi-pilot airplanes.
(4) Have conducted on a complete type rating course at least (3) hours of flight instruction related to the duties of a TRI(A) on the applicable type of airplane under the supervision and to the satisfaction of a TRI(A) notified by CARC for this purpose.
(5) Have completed within a period of (12) months, preceding the application, a proficiency check as set out in Appendix 1 and 2 to JCAR-FCL 1.240 on a flight simulator of the applicable type; and
(6) (i) Have completed within a period of (12) months, preceding the application, at least (3) route sectors as an observer on the flight deck of the applicable type or similar type as agreed by CARC , or
(ii) Have completed within a period of (12) months preceding the application, at least (2) LOFT based simulator sessions conducted by qualified flight crew as an observer on the flight deck of the applicable type or similar type as agreed by CARC. These simulator sessions shall include:
– Flight between two different airports of at least (2) hours duration each, and
– Associated pre-flight planning and de-briefing.
The requirements above are fulfilled if the applicant has been issued a specific authorization in accordance with Appendix 1 to JCAR-FCL 1.300 and comply with the requirements of JCAR-FCL 1.415.
(7) One Session Right Hand Seat Qualification.

(b) If the privileges are to be extended to further types of multi-pilot airplanes the holder shall have:
(1) Satisfactorily completed the simulator content of the relevant type rating course; and
(2) Conducted on a complete type rating course at least (3) hours of flight instruction related to the duties of a TRI (A) on the applicable type of airplane under the supervision and to the satisfaction of a TRI (A) notified by CARC for this purpose.
